Urine Tray

The urine tray is the heart of a kiwi bog. As you can imagine measurements must be precise for it to effectively do its job. The faeces hole may appear too small but is in fact more than sufficient.

It has one large hole through which faeces fall and another at the end of a tapered funnel through which urine passes. This second urine funnel is tapered to fit directly into 32mm flexible sewerage grade pipe (Hepo Smooth Bore Flexi Waste FBP3 32mm). It is most important to use flexible pipe at first and then only join to more rigid pipe after some distance otherwise the funnel may be damaged or split by the pressure applied to it.
